First

This is the first time we tried collaborating on a work of art. Unlike later pieces in the series, where our individual contributions are difficult to distinguish, our choices are clear in First: Jordan started with large strokes, then Mattison painted the small squiggles. The exception is the final element, the red line on the left, which we added after careful discussion.
